Ryan holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee, where he also earned a Graduate Certificate in Trauma-Informed Care. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sociology. While at UWSP, he was honored with the Distinguished Achievement Award from the College of Letters and Sciences and served as an Undergraduate Research Assistant for over four semesters in a Gender and Social Development Laboratory.
Ryan provides psychotherapy under clinical supervision and has experience working with adults facing a wide range of mental health and substance use concerns. He is particularly passionate about helping clients accurately identify and address psychological challenges, with the ultimate goal of fostering long-term mental wellness.
His clinical experience spans several levels of care, including outpatient therapy, partial hospitalization programs, and community support programs. His professional roles have included Co-Occurring Disorders Therapist, Counselor, Psychotherapist, Case Manager, and now Director.
Ryan’s therapeutic approach emphasizes cultivating psychological flexibility, helping clients adapt to life’s challenges with resilience and intention. He draws from several evidence-based modalities, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), and various mindfulness-based and somatic techniques. He remains committed to expanding his therapeutic repertoire to meet the diverse needs of his clients.
