I am dedicated to helping individuals navigate the
complexities of behavioral change and mental wellness. With my expertise in Behavioral
Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Culturally Sensitive Counseling, and Motivational
Interviewing, among others, I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to Greater Heights Counseling. My
journey in psychology began with a bachelor's degree in psychology from the Universidad de
Puerto Rico, followed by a master's degree in Cognitive Neuropsychology from the Universidad
Complutense de Madrid, Spain.
I understand that initiating and sustaining behavioral change can be a challenging journey, even
with the promise of positive outcomes. That's why my approach is rooted in empathy and
evidence-based methodologies. I offer comprehensive
assessments and tailored treatments for individuals of all ages, from children to
adults. Whether it's addressing anxiety, mood conditions, or assisting individuals facing
difficulties in academic, professional, or relational spheres, my goal is to provide support and
guidance throughout the process.
My dedication to staying at the forefront of the field is evident through my certifications in
Multisystemic Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Licensed
in Puerto Rico, I am equipped to serve a diverse clientele, offering support to those dealing with
ADHD, parenting challenges, school issues, teen violence, Alzheimer's disease, and various
mental health conditions to all communities especially to Spanish and English speaking
population.
As a member of esteemed professional associations such as the American Psychological
Association and the American Academy of Neurology, I am committed to advancing mental
health research and advocacy. Additionally, my involvement with the Alzheimer's Association
International Conference Advancements and the Asociación de Psicología de Puerto Rico
underscores my dedication to staying informed and connected within the mental health
community.
Fluent in both English and Spanish, I strive to foster effective communication with my clients,
ensuring a trusting and understanding therapeutic environment. My approach encompasses a
variety of modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Culturally Sensitive
Counseling, Motivational Interviewing, Psychological Testing and Evaluation, Solution-Focused
Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Multi-Systemic Therapy (MST), tailored to meet each individual's
unique
needs. My primary population is Teens and their families however work with all individuals.
In essence, I stand as a beacon of hope and support for those navigating the intricate terrain of
mental health and behavioral change. With unwavering dedication and a compassionate heart, I
remain steadfast in my mission to empower individuals and families toward greater
psychological, and emotional well-being and fulfillment.
