I have a Ph.D. in Psychology, a Master's in Psychology and a BA in Business Administration. My clinical style is client-centered, collaborative, and solution focused. I strive to create a supportive therapeutic space where clients feel seen, heard, respected, and empowered to navigate change in their lives.
I primarily work with clients who are experiencing a variety of mental health concerns, including mood disorders, anxiety, trauma-related issues, and adjustment difficulties. My approach is grounded in evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing (MI), and traditional Cognitive Therapy to support clients in reaching their goals.
Outside of psychotherapy sessions, I enjoy research, PowerPoint creation and presentation involving training and discussions that address social and racial justice, identifying, confronting and addressing overt and unconscious bias in the mental health/judicial systems concerning interactions with women who have experienced sexual assault, trafficking, and exploitation in childhood, adulthood or both. In addition, I enjoy attending conferences that are self-empowerment-driven for women. These interests help me stay grounded, focused, inspired, energized, and synergized, which enriches the perspectives I bring into therapy.
